Paying your friends back for pizza shouldn’t cost more than your slice. That’s why when you send money using your Venmo balance, bank account, debit card or prepaid card, we waive fees so it’s free to use. If you want to send money using a credit card, a 3% credit card fee applies.
You can now pay with Venmo at many places you see the PayPal button while using your preferred mobile web browser. Other times, you’ll see a Venmo payment option (i.e. a Venmo button) in a merchant app or mobile website during checkout.
Venmo does not charge you a fee for purchasing items from authorized businesses, even if those purchases are funded using a credit card. See the Venmo User Agreement for more information on Authorized Merchant Payments.
Our standard transfer service is free to use. A $0.25 fee is deducted from the transfer amount for each Instant Transfer.
There are no fees for using your Venmo card for purchases, even if you get cash back at the point of sale!
You can also withdraw funds from your Venmo balance at an ATM, up to the daily $400 limit, but there may be fees for these transactions. You can withdraw funds from your Venmo balance up to the daily $400 limit at MoneyPass® ATMs in the U.S. at no cost.
